“It was a relatively easy decision to have our wedding at home, but the implications of then having the reception for 30 people at the same location only became apparent as we became aware of all the issues surrounding the food, the drinks, the furniture…!
We explored various caterers and decided on Raphael after seeing his web page and his appetizing menus. During the planning stage Raphael kindly made the time (in a very busy schedule) to come to our house (with a very modest kitchen) and patiently explained the menu choices (and his suggestions), staffing requirements and the issues regarding furniture, crockery and cutlery. He took the time to chat with us to grasp what the tone of the day would be in order to best cater for it and adapt to it.
We simply told Raphael the number of people, and the menu we wanted (including special requirements), and explained that we wanted a fairly informal wedding and he organised everything.
We could not have been happier! The hiring of equipment was easy and everything was delivered to our door ahead of time to allow for ample preparations. The waiters, chosen by Raphael, were kind, helpful and highly professional. As requested, Raphael presented the most exquisite dishes, from canapés to desserts, with the finest and freshest ingredients, and described each dish for our guests. From the first bite, people were hooked and could not believe such courses could come from our kitchen which was left immaculate at the end of the evening. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with Raphael and asked for his references!
Without hesitation, we would warmly recommend Raphael to anyone interested in fine French food and for the best, personalized, service we could have dreamed of. He captured what we wanted perfectly and our wedding would not have been so successful without him and his expertise.
